Max Beaupre takes the Bonnell 805 RX to fourth in its Australian debut at Toodyay Terror
Bonnell factory rider Max Beaupre finished fourth in Gold class at Toodyay Terror, the final round of the 2026 Western Hard Enduro Series, on the 805 RX.
Bonnell’s Perth roots got a homecoming of sorts on 19 September, when factory rider Max Beaupre lined up the 805 RX at Toodyay Terror — Round 5 and the final round of the 2026 Western Hard Enduro Series — and rode it to 4th in Gold class, in what’s believed to be the first competitive outing for the model on Australian soil.
Beaupre finished on six laps in 3:43:24, behind winner Jakob Petrig (eight laps, 4:22:38), Boston King (seven, 4:28:50) and Damien Pruden (seven, 4:35:44). It’s not a podium, but it’s a great result for a bike that hasn’t landed for Australian purchasers yet.
Toodyay Terror is run at Morangup, roughly 50 minutes from Perth, on a property that’s hosted hard enduro for close to five years and trials for more than 20. It’s a steep, slippery and rock-strewn hard enduro, with tight creek lines and technical step-ups among the challenges.
Beaupre is no stranger to this kind of racing. He first showed up on the US eMoto hard enduro scene as a Tennessee Knockout rookie in 2024, finishing 5th in the eMoto class, and has since become Bonnell’s factory rider — he recently claimed the Pro Electric class title in the US Hard Enduro Championship on a prototype 805 RX.
With the WA season now finished, the next test for Australian eMoto enduro riders is the RFN Australian Electric Hard Enduro Series, which will decide its first champion at Corryong, Victoria, on 3–4 October.
