Stark Future’s factory SX2 campaign in France’s national championship keeps rolling — and Hicks is doing it the hard way.

While most of the electric off-road conversation focuses on hard enduro and motocross, Stark Future has quietly been building a real factory presence in French domestic supercross — the SX Tour, France’s official national Supercross championship. This past weekend at Saint-Georges-de-Montaigu, American rider Michael Hicks made it back-to-back SX2 wins on his Stark Varg, and did it the hard way: after topping SX2 qualifying by less than a second from the rest of the field, a flat tyre in his semi-final dropped him into the last-chance qualifier. He fought through it anyway, then led the final from the front to take the win.

Hicks isn’t Stark’s only rider in the series. Jorge Zaragoza currently sits fifth in the SX1 standings, while Yannis Lopez — the reigning FLY SX Junior champion — and Brian Hsu join Hicks in SX2, a genuine four-rider Stark presence across the series. Hicks now leads the SX2 championship standings outright.

It’s a smaller stage than WSX or the FIM World Championships, but arguably a more telling one: SX Tour is a serious national series with a deep, competitive combustion field, not a showcase event built to accommodate an electric entry. Stark’s first-ever win in the series came less than a year ago, in September 2025 — also Hicks, also at a Stark-labelled “beginning of a new era” moment. Less than twelve months on, the team isn’t just competing, it’s leading a class outright.
