Electric Motion Reveals Its 2027 Range: New Battery, New Chassis for the Epure
The French maker’s 2027 Epure FACTOR-e, Epure Race and Escape R have been launched. There’s no word yet on when they’ll reach Australia.
Electric Motion has posted its 2027 models to its international website. Three bikes carry the new-model badge: the Epure FACTOR-e and Epure Race trials bikes, and the Escape R. The FACTOR-e went up on EM’s Facebook page today under the line “The Next Level”.
The biggest change is on the Epure. Both trials bikes get an all-new 2.0 kWh battery, and the voltage jumps from 50.4 V to 64.8 V. EM says the higher voltage holds full performance for longer as the charge drops. The casing is now magnesium, and the pack still swaps out in under 60 seconds.
The new pack replaces the old choice of 1.8 or 2.5 kWh. Riders who want more range carry a second battery, which gives 4.0 kWh across the two. EM is also offering a battery rental program for riders who don’t want to own a spare year-round.
EM also claims an all-new chassis with aluminium tie rods, slimmer bodywork and triple clamps with four adjustment positions. A new TFT display adds a Trial Mode with a built-in section timer, and the bike now starts from a power button on the handlebar.
The motor carries over. It still makes 18 kW peak, and 1400 Nm in first gear on the four-speed FACTOR-e.
| Epure FACTOR-e | 2026 | 2027 |
|---|---|---|
| Weight | 75 kg | 73 kg |
| Battery | 1.8 or 2.5 kWh, 50.4 V | 2.0 kWh, 64.8 V |
| Battery weight | 11–13 kg | 11 kg |
| Seat height | 670 mm | 687 mm |
| Wheelbase | 1325 mm | 1320 mm |
| Footrest height | 360 mm | 350 mm |
| Top speed | 85 km/h | 85 km/h |
| Claimed range | up to 4 hours | up to 3.5 hours |
| Standard charger | 15 A, 2h30–3h15 | 12 A, 2h55 |
Claimed range is the one figure that goes backwards. The 2027 bike is quoted at up to 3.5 hours on its single 2.0 kWh pack. The 2026 bike was quoted at up to four hours across its 1.8–2.5 kWh options.
The Epure Race gets the same battery, chassis and cockpit, and keeps its single-speed transmission. It drops from 74 to 72 kg, and top speed rises from 75 to 80 km/h. A REIGER two-way shock replaces the TECH TJ2. Torque is 740 Nm at the wheel.
The Escape R goes the other way: more battery and more weight. The pack grows from 3.5 to 3.8 kWh, and EM’s spec sheet lists its weight at 20 kg, up from 16. The bike weighs 87 kg, up from 83. Claimed range rises from 3.5 to four hours. EM lists a reinforced frame, a new swingarm, and a new blue colour with blue wheels.
The Escape R doesn’t get the Epure’s high-voltage pack; it stays at 50.4 V. EM calls it the most powerful Escape R ever built, but its listed peak power and torque, 18 kW and 740 Nm, match the 2026 bike’s.
EM hasn’t published 2027 pricing. Its Australian importer currently lists the YM25 FACTOR-e, Epure Race and Escape R, plus the FACTOR-e 2.5 Pilot YM26. There’s no 2027 pricing or timing for Australia yet. We’ll report when there is.
